Featured Black Diamond Ski Boot – Method AT. Click on the image below to check’em out at Backcountry.com!
The Method is for the modern AT skier who craves downhill performance as much as tourability and comfort. Slightly less torsionally and longitudinally stiff than the Factor, the Method is your choice for skiing any and all terrain, from no-falls steeps to deep powder bowls. With its Triax-Performance FrameTM with Pebax® and Flex 110 rating, the Method still has power to drive today’s fat skis. The boot is equipped with both a thermoformable high-performance foot bed and a Power Fit Light Liner. Changing the Method between AT blocks and BD ISO Alpine DIN blocks (sold separately) is third-grade easy due to the sliding, four-screw attachment system.

Comfy boots! Count me in.
Ohh I can’t wait for this one!!!
Whoops didn’t mean to put it up here….
That’s the right answer, but are you sure you want to post it? :)
I’m 1 for 1 so far. Maybe I can match the boots with the Sahales I still have in plastic wrap.
I’ve been looking for a way to get into some affordable BD boots…
Are you sure you dont mean:
“One of the most famous ski runs in America is named after a member of the first AMERICAN ascent team of the highest peak on this continent.”?
Speaking of someones name that is synonymous with challenging skiing…Andrew are you still planning to ski Foraker? I flew over the range yesterday and we are way ahead on snowfall so far…24 degrees in Talkeetna this morning…
Corbetts Coulair – James Berry Corbett.
Continent – North America.
NOT NORTH AMERICA. It’s Asia. I am at work and trying to multi task can I change my answer????
Wait this sucks. I need to stop and do this after I get off the phone
Bob my final answer is NORTH AMERICA.
Yes, no, kind of… maybe. But, the only answer that counts is after the final clue is given on October 21st.

No, it was the first ascent of the peak and all of the team members were American, including the Mystery Man.
Foraker..? I think I’ve heard of it..?
:)
Ahhhhh. I didn’t realize he did that too.
Archangel Ridge perhaps…..
You’re tormenting me there Adam!
What if we guess the right anwer before the clue is posted?
That would be pretty hard as even I don’t know where they are yet! But, to be fair, the only comments that count are the ones after the final clue has been posted on Oct 21 at 10:00am.
yeah, i want to get in this time. even though 10am is like 1 in the morning in Japan.
Ahhh, A little torture never hurt anyone…Right!?!
:)
Got it tricky but easy!!
AT boots? Come on!!!!
No, no, it is ANY boots – AT or tele.
I could use some new kicks this year…
Goodness, I could use a new pair of boots :D
I need boots… I’m in!
I want some free boots and lots of spam!
Maybe I won’t have to buy those Methods after all.
Tony – You are giving me too much credit if you think I could actually get organized enough to send out spam and/or sell any sort of email list. :) I promise I won’t, and you don’t really even need to sign up, aside from the idea that your name is now recognized on the straightchuter server, so when you know the location of the boots, you can submit it without any delay.
do we need to post our intermediate answers or just the final one to win?
I’m in. This should be fun.
New boots, spam, sounds fun.
Absolutely no spam – I promise. I don’t even keep track of anyone’s name, it is just that the computer needs to recognize you for faster response time, as the first time you make a comment, it needs to be approved, and then you are in.
Hi David,
No, you don’t need to post all of the answers along the way, just at the end. It is the final location which really matters.
I’ll play. I’d love a pair of the new BD boots.
Cool, I could use a new pair of boots!
Hey can I enter even if I don’t need the boots? I already have great boots so I don’t need them but I always love a challenge and this one is way better than Voile’s last year which was super easy for a Parrot Head like me :-)
Winter is just around the corner!!!
