Got a message last Sunday night from a gadget which tells  Andrew’s  position :

The Sultana Ski Team is alive, well and having fun.

Longitude:-151.2332

If you go to the map, you can see that he sent it from the base of Mt. Crossen.  That is where their base camp probably is.    They will attempt to climb Mt. Crossen and traverse across the Sultana Ridge to reach the top of Mt. Foraker and then ski back down.

Andrew called last night and although the sat phone was a bit spotty, all was well and they were shuttling items up to a higher camp.   The weather was a bit iffy and it was possible they might have a few storm days.   A quick look at the weather up there (Denali – not sure how closely it resembles Foraker) said that there would be showers through the weekend, windy on Saturday but then good weather starting on Monday through next week.

Hoping for good weather and a safe and fun trip for them.
