The Chuting Gallery, by Park City resident Andrew McLean, is the culmination of seven years of backcountry steep skiing experience in Utah’s Wasatch Mountains. Published by Paw Prints Press, The Chuting Gallery covers 90 steep descents in 96 pages, has over 90 photographs, a foreword by Alex Lowe, an explanation of the rating system, a brief avalanche primer, gear suggestions and an index of descents arranged by difficulty. The descents are located on finder maps and each has a list of essential information and a brief description of the ascent, descent and any less-than-obvious hazards that are involved.
