I’m heading out/over to New York City until next Monday to be part of the New Yorker Magazine Festival, which should be a blast. The main reason for going is to be part of a panel on extreme sports, which is being moderated by Nick Paumgarten and will have alpinist Greg Child, long distance open-water swimmer Lynne Cox and myself as speakers.

Very cool (I really enjoyed Nick Paumgarten’s profile of you in the New Yorker a few years ago). Will there be a podcast or something of the panel?
I’m not sure about the podcast, although they were filming it. I just finished a trip report which will be up tomorrow.
